If you have a toaster oven and you use it for making toast, you have everything you need for toasting nuts.

Spread the nuts out on a baking sheet or an ovenproof plate and toast them for the same amount of time that you use to toast bread (unless, I suppose, you like your bread burned).

The nuts don't need to change color to get that toasty flavor you're after.
