gooseberry ice cream (vegetarian)

1. fresh gooseberries ½ cup
2. special simple syrup
[see below]
3 Tablespoons
  half-and-half ½ cup
  orange flower water 2 drops

1. Pick the flower ends off the gooseberries.

2. Put the fruit, the syrup, the half-and-half, and the flower water into your blender and puree them.

3. Use the puree to make ice cream according to the directions for your ice cream maker.

special simple syrup

1. sugar 6 cups
  water 6 cups
  salt 1 small pinch

1. Put the sugar, the water, and the salt into a pot and heat them up till the liquid is clear, 5-6 minutes.
